Everest College Ontario RN program

U.S.A. California

Hello all,

I know there are already a couple of posts for this school, but reading through the threads I didn't get all the information that I was looking for and considering that they are pretty old threads I made a new one because I didn't think anyone would look at those anymore. I've already completed all my prereqs at a community college, but I don't want to wait around forever to get into the community college rn program.

Anyways, I wanted to find out for those who are already in the program or have the info. What kind of studying should I do for their entrance exam? What kind of stuff comes in the tests. I also would like to know the cost or estimated cost of the school. And how do they go about choosing the students for the program? What exactly is the application process?

I've already called the school, but the lady that answered the phone wasn't able to give me much info except for that info sessions are in August and the program starts up again in January.

And if you are already in the program, I would like to know how to do you find the teachers to be?? Would you say that this is a good academic choice??

Please help me as I live really far away from this school and I am moving out there just for the program. It is a little difficult for me to just drive over to visit the school. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I believe they said jan 11 start will end in jan 2013 with the graduation being in nov 12 2 months before the program finishes

COOL...thanks jmira! just in case u were wondering who i was...i changed my screen name, i hate this waiting game! do u live closeby to the college?

:banghead: I am currently on the BSN program at West Coast University Ontario. But I have decided to move out for some reasons aside from the financial aspect of it. Trying out for ADN at Everest is one of my options, or LVN at American Career College. I am so thankful that I found this thread and to everyone who gave so much time and effort to give helpful information to anxious student like me. congratulations to all those who passed the test and interview and goodluck to those who are about to take the test! I am more motivated now to go to Everest and inquire because of this helpful thread...:D:yeah::nurse:

:yeah:would be nice if they'd have an RN program cheaper than WEst Coast University.. :rckn::clpty:

Ya I see u changed ur screenname I was confused at first lol. No I'm in anaheim so it was a thirty minute drive in traffic. I'm directly on the 91 so its all fwy for me. Yeah the waiting game is so tough but I feel content that I did all I could do to get a spot

Yeaa i totally get you on that, i tried my best and all i can do is be positive! you live in anaheim? i live in buena park...usually takes me like 45-50 min..anyways, jmira hope you have a good thanksgiving and keep me updated:)

This has been a fun thread to read :) I had my essay and interview on Tues 11/16 = 90 min. I *finally* got my HS to mail an official transcript today. Ok, I graduated from HS in the Stone Age so it takes more time to chisel a copy. :D Now I'll join all of you in the wait for 'the call' and, hopefully, see you in class in Jan. 18, 2011. :yeah:

Wow buena park is so close. If we get in together we should def carpool. Saves gas and so much time.

If not I'm hopeful about the new rn program coming to anaheim soon that would be amazing

I KNOW were so close!!! i wish the rn program was in anaheim already:/ but i pray to god i get in this time...because the whole process was killer!!!

So today was my interview. And due to a series of unfortunate events my interview went horrible.

To begin I have to drive about 3 to 4 hours with that said, half way to the school my car breaks down, with two hours before having to be there for me interview. Then my cell phone wasn't working and to top it off there was no pay phones around! So after finally someone lends me a cell phone I call for a ride which it takes my parents about 5 hours. I repeat 5 HOURS!! To show up where I am at. needless to say I arrive extremely late for the interview, but luckily they understood my situation and interviewed me anyways before they left. I was just so flustered by then by the events of the day that I don't feel like my interview went well and I didn't answer the questions to the best of my ability. BLAH!

EMT, if they were willing to interview you after the scheduled appointment, I'll bet they'll take into consideration that you were not at your best. :) It says a lot for Everest that would accommodate you and also for you, that you followed through after multiple setbacks.
