Everest College (Ontario Metro) students or graduates:

U.S.A. California

Published

]Hey everyone, I'm new to the board and wanted to see if there were any currently enrolled students in the Everest College in Ontario, CA? I've checked all the threads regarding the Ontario campus and I still have unanswered questions. It wasn't until when I read the 13-page long kaplan san diego thread that gave me an insight of what to expect. I was curious if the enrollment procedure for the RN program at Everest College is the same (or similar) to Kaplan's? I signed up for more information only to receive their automated e-mail. No phone call or anything. I researched a little more and found that they're most likely filled up for January 2010, but offer information sessions in February and August? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Other questions I had were:

1) Is the entrance testing the same as Kaplan's? (Wonderlic & TEAS).

2) What are the chances of a student like me getting in Everest College? (20 yrs old, 3rd year CSUF dropout, not getting anywhere in life).

3) How does the admissions process work?

Please help me, it's vital that I get my foot in the door as far as my education goes so any information is helpful. Thanks!

]And I forgot to add - I barely changed majors to Pre-Nursing this past year and the nursing program at CSUF is out of the question for me. I don't want to deal with the community college ASN route due to the waiting list (my brother is about to graduate from his nursing program @ SBVC and it took him a grand total of 6ish years for him), so I'd honestly prefer a program like Everest's.

]Okay, so I found most of the answers to the questions I had, but I'm still interested in hearing some feedback from past or present Everest College nursing students in the Ontario Metro location.

Please, any feedback to any of the questions below would be greatly appreciated!

How's the program like?

Quality education? Would you say that it was worth the $?

Number of amounts devoted to studying per day to succeed in the program?

Experiences with teachers and preparation for NCLEX?

Any other input would be great as well. I've tried researching but I just want to get in touch with someone who's been through the program. I have a lot to ask! Thank youu.

Hey, long do you know how long did your brother have to wait to get into the nursing program at SBVC?

hey long so what time are u going to get there? I called just to check what time .....

someone should arrive to surely get a spot in the info meeting.....

and they said like 30 minutes in advance is good... but I am seriously thinking of maybe like an hour to an hour and half just incase since it is first come first serve.

3) How does the admissions process work?

1) I'm not too familiar with Kaplan, but I'm a student at Everest Ontario and almost done with the nursing program. The testing to get into the program is a two step process: PSB and Compass test.

2) As long as you have the interest, motivation, test scores they are looking for, your choices in life should not affect your chances.

3) You HAVE to go to the campus. Just like the rest of us who really wanted this and got in, GO! Talk to an admissions counselor. That is your first step. They will have knowledge of the program, you can get a tour and they give you the info about testing and information sessions. Once you pass the two tests, you will interview with the Director or Assistant director of Nursing.

Ask away. I had a bunch of questions myself.

Hi and THANKS for all the info EVERESTRN I actually have a question about the testing..... How difficult did you find the test's to be? When was your test date? I have a test date... it is the third testing date available.... Do you think the third date is late?? Like would all the people in the first 2 testings fill the spots???

Hi Long, have you checked out Everest college Ontario Metro yet?...I just filled out their online application and waiting for a rep to get back to me...

Hi EverestRN, so how's the nursing program going? I'm going to the orientation in August.
