Congrats mommy xo!! I am an CSULB alum (c/0 '03)!! The program (as is any nursing program) will be very challenging, time consuming, and stressful! Not to scare you, of course, just know that studying will take up the majority of your time for the next three years. The initial semester will introduce you to the foundation of nursing, and you begin your med/surgical rotation. Care plans become the norm routine weekly for your clinicals. In the beginning, you feel overwhelmed with the hours needed for studying, and once you begin clinical rotations, you must balance out the time you need to prepare for each clinical. No worries, you become close with your class. Get to know your fellow classmates. You definitely grow as a group. The instructors were fairly helpful. Some are tougher than others, but in the end, you realize that their intention is to make you the best nurse you need to be. Some students were weeded out during my program, and dropped out. BUt if this is what you really want to do, you'll be FINE!! good luck!! ;)
