CSUDH Entry MEPN - Fall 2011

I didn't see a thread for CSUDH MEPN-- Fall 2011 so I thought I would start one. I plan on attending the Dec 2nd information session and this will be my 2nd time applying. I'm still nervous about the whole selection process but I am twice as excited! I made a couple of new friends in patho course who are currently in the program and they are doing very well! Finally got the call! Interview set for April 4th.

Would be nice to hear from current MEPN students how they like the program and if there are any problems with the program. Thanks in advance!

hey guys on wed i checked mycsudh and it said you have been admitted to the university . i want to be excited but im waiting for that piece of paper. I kno last year they sent letters out before they updated the website, i guess they are doing it differnt this year. any one else get a letter or the website updated, and i also wonder if any one else has heard something maybe people dont know about the site.

do i have to have pathophysiology completed prior to application? or could it be taken after admission to CSUDH?

Congratulation! I got my acceptance letter last night. I think it was sent to me before my status was changed on their website. The letter should get to you anytime soon though, don't worry;)

Well, you really should take patho before being accepted as it is quite a challenging class. You will need to get a B on that class. What good will it do for you to be accepted before you take the class and then you cannot get at least a B on that class?

I believe lots of people dropped the class. It's pretty overwhelming at times. You go through lot of material in 12 weeks time.

Hey guys I'm so late but I received my actual paper acceptance letter in the mail a few Fridays ago :yeah:

I'm starting to get a little excited, but I am still waiting to hear how to accept the spot and so forth. I turned in my CNA certificate this past Friday and the student Assistant told me that only the Admission department is going to send out acceptance letters so don't look for one from the school of nursing . Not sure how this is all going to work out but like we have been doing we just have to keep on waiting.

It's good to know that I can stop waiting for that 'second SON acceptance letter' finally. haha. However, I emailed SON about the intent to enroll [just to dbl check it's submission] and I guess all that stuff about MEPN orientation/prereqs/securing your spot will come in a second letter from ----soon. For all the MEPN applicant hopefuls, he said they're still finalizing the class so don't give up yet. :]

Congrats on your acceptance into the MEPN program! I started the program last year, but decided that nursing wasn't right for me after a few weeks. oh, and be ready to thrown down $600 at this meeting...last year they did not warn us about this ahead of time.

What was the $600 for? the supply baG? what does it come with thats so expensive haha. When did csudh start last year for you guys? What are you up to now that nursing wasnt a good fit?
