Fall 2014 CSUSM ABSN hopefuls- this is the forum to share, bounce ideas off, ask questions with your fellow applicants! I am finishing my last two prerequisites during this Spring 2014 semester but have my rolling application and Teas already submitted. Since many applicants have recently received their acceptance letters for the Summer 2014 cohort, I figured now would be a good time to open up the next forum for Fall. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Kham, I want to drop off my transcript for Spring 2015 when the time comes. So they are okay with that and where did you drop it off? Thanks.

Naturegal,

You can drop off the transcripts at the Extended Learning office at CSUSM. The building is to the right as you drive up to the main campus. Once you drive up on Craven, make a right at the light and a left at the next light and there is parking lot with metered parking. The extended learning office is the lone small building just northeast of the parking lot.

Hi everyone,

I just got accepted myself and I am excited to meet you all soon! I will be doing the arduous commute to Temecula from SD temporarily till I figure out the living situation. Hopefully the first semester is doable. If anyone has created a facebook group, please shoot me a PM with a link. Thanks! :)

Woowhoo! I just got my acceptance letter for the fall term yesterday! Is anyone else having trouble paying on cashnet? It keeps giving me an error and will not allow me to pay the deposit to hold my spot... I figure I will just call them about it today. Anyway I am very excited to meet you all this Fall! Let me know if there is a facebook group started!

Also, @anatomyofhearts I am currently in Mira Mesa, although my husband and I are thinking of moving to Escondido to lessen my commute by a little. He works in Mission Valley at the moment so we are trying to find something in the middle so I feel your pain about commuting.

To those who have been accepted for Fall 2014....have you received info about what the next steps are, i.e. background check? I am hoping to receive acceptance and have some vacations planned for the summer. Wondering if its done electronically or if I will have to go somewhere for a background check/drug screen and thus have to alter our plans. I know there is only a small window to get this done after you accept and since there is no way of knowing if or when you will be accepted any info would be greatly appreciated :)

I just did a background check and that's electronic. Not sure when drug testing.

Nicholesnyder: I am having the same issue paying for the deposit via CashNet. Were you able to find a resolution to the problem?

There is a Facebook group already made. Search CSUSM ABSN Cohort 20 or even just "CSUSM ABSN Cohort" and find cohort 20. Can't wait to meet everyone :)
