CSU San Marcos ABSN Fall 2013

Hi fellow pre-nursing students!

I'd like to start a thread to those applying or have already applied to the ABSN program for Fall 2013 (Temecula/San Marcos locations)

I personally have not applied yet. I still have Anatomy and Microbiology in progress this Spring semester and will be completing Physiology during Summer. I'd like to apply soon, but quite hesitant since I still have quite a number of courses IP.

I will be contacting an advisor within this week and will definitely update this thread with further information. It might be too early to say, but good luck to all of us!

I was also accepted to the Fall 2013 cohort in Temecula. I'm very excited to meet everyone. Do you guys know what happens after we pay for the deposit? I'm still waiting to hear back from the school about what needs to be completed, etc...

Thank you for the info! I still haven't received mine yet..I think I'll just call the school tomorrow to follow up. Maybe it's because my deposit isn't due until next week?

Just got accepted for Temecula Fall and paid my $250 intent to enroll. After payment..email states that:

"after you have paid your intent to enroll deposit (see below), you will be receiving a packet of information both via e-mail and in the mail with instructions for completing the background check and drug screen. Please complete these processes per the instructions included in the packet by the deadline stated."

So anxious right now because my college won't be sending my transcript till this week but all of my nursing prerequisites will be officially done. My question is how long did it take for everyone here who has been accepted to receive their last evaluation? And how long after did you receive your acceptance?

The campus received my TEAS test score and transcripts on 4/16 and I got conditionally accepted on 5/31..so about 6 weeks. Just paid intent to enroll and waiting on my background package in the mail to come..good luck!

Question?? Has anybody been approved for their financial aid for Fall '13 semester? I heard the federal student loans only awards $12,500 annually which only covers two semesters roughly which leaves summer semesters tuition balance not covered not to mention your cost attendance or living expenses.

Please share what you've been awarded for financial aid or have any recommendations for lenders for private loans and if you needed a cosigner to get approved for the private loan..Feedback greatly appreciated!!

Thank you! I submitted all of my other stuff around March but I was finishing up organic chemistry since it was the last class. I hope it happens sooner than 6 weeks! Congrats for getting in!

Hi! I am also starting in the Fall 2013 Temecula ABSN cohort. Excited to start school and meet everyone. I just completed the payment for my background check. The site didn't have me fill out any forms with past addresses, jobs, etc. Did all I have to do was provide my name and ss# and make a payment or am I missing a step?

Hi I've been accepted into the fall 2013 cohort. I sent in an application back in September before all my prerequisites were finished.I received my first evaluation about 5 weeks after that. Then I sent in my final transcripts in April and got my acceptance letter last week. I'm moving from up north so I hope I can get in touch with anyone that is looking for housing.
