hey everyone,

just wanted to get a separate thread going for those of us who have applied to cui's absn program for the summer/fall 2011 entrance. has anyone been invited for an interview yet?

Congrats guys!! :yeah: That's so awesome! I saw ----'s post about notifying people until next Friday........I'm glad I know but now I'm more nervous than before! March 26th is my dad's birthday (mine is on the 23rd) What time is it scheduled for?

psych to nurse, this is a little off topic from this thread but i read that you are learning spanish from rosetta stone. i have been really really interested in that since i don't have time to take a class but i am so nervous to invest the money. do you like it? is it working??

congrats on those of you who got an interview!!!!

i think rosetta stone is great! it's definitely a little on the expensive side but i think it's worth it. i've tried several different types of language learning software, in addition to the traditional classes at my local college. compared to those, rosetta stone is the best thing i've found so far. the only problem is that you have to be dedicated to it. it is easy to get lazy and never finish. my boyfriend is using it to learn french. he's the one who got me into the product in the first place and he loves it. what language are you interested in?

did you apply to cui too?

Oh wow I had no idea we couldn't use first names? I've been signing "Sandy" the whole time. I'm very new to this site as you can see so going forward I'll make sure to only use user names. Sorry about that. I tried to edit my original post and I couldn't? My apologies.

i'm interested in spanish. i've always wanted to learn, especially living in socal. i didn't apply to cui i just ran into this thread while browsing.

Congrats to all of you who have received an interview!

I posted this on the other thread but I wanted to know if any of you that were invited for an interview, would mind sharing your summary of your application. I have been at this for a while now, and it just seems that it gets more and more competitive. I would like to know how I can improve and where I fell short on my application.

Much Thanks!

Hello everyone and congrats to everyone who were invited to interview! I am interviewing April 2nd as well. I am assuming it's professional attire? Does anyone know for sure? Does anyone know how many people are interviewing?

Thanks!

Congrats on your interview invitation sdopem!

I think you should dress professionally for any type of interview, so that is what I plan to do. However, I don't think it is required or anything. My interview is March 26th... fast approaching! I'm very excited to get to the next step. I'm not sure how many people are interviewing though.

I plan on dressing professionally as well. My interview is on April 2nd. Soooo nervous! Psych_to_Nurse please let us know how ur interview goes! What is everyone doing to prepare??

Good Luck to us all!!

is there a thread for concordia accelerated BSN fall 2011 and has anyone submitted their application for that yet? :) and congrats to all who received an interview for summer 2011's cohort!

that's a good idea to start a new thread for the Fall! I'm planning to apply but haven't yet. I had applied for this Summer but didn't get an interview. I'm thinking because I have micro and anatomy still in progress? So I'll reapply and hopefully get an interview next time around. I haven't received my official rejection letter which they will mail out mid April so I'll at least wait until after that to reapply lol

Hey SandyMickey,

I definitely agree that you should apply for fall. If I don't get accepted to the summer cohort I will also apply for fall. You're probably right about the two courses in progress. I think a lot of people have all their classes complete and since micro and anatomy are two of the core sciences it probably made a difference. I'm very nervous because I have nutrition in progress. Even though I was invited for an interview I'm worried that the IP class could hurt my chances when they make their final decisions. I will just have to wait and see... Where are you taking micro and anatomy?
