just wanted to get a separate thread going for those of us who have applied to cui's absn program for the summer/fall 2011 entrance. has anyone been invited for an interview yet?
I definitely agree that you should apply for fall. If I don't get accepted to the summer cohort I will also apply for fall. You're probably right about the two courses in progress. I think a lot of people have all their classes complete and since micro and anatomy are two of the core sciences it probably made a difference. I'm very nervous because I have nutrition in progress. Even though I was invited for an interview I'm worried that the IP class could hurt my chances when they make their final decisions. I will just have to wait and see... Where are you taking micro and anatomy?
Yeah I figured I would still try and it forced me to get my letters of recommendation together and all that so the next application process will be easier. I left my science classes for last because I have a 3 year old son and a 16 month and I'm still breastfeeding my younger one. When I started to go back to school for my pre-reqs I did one class a semester and mainly did online (for Anthropology, Psychology, Nutrition etc) because at the time my son was 1 and I was pregnant with my daughter. I couldn't be away for the hours that a lab AND lecture entail. So then I started doubling up on classes to finish more quickly. :) I'm taking Anatomy and Micro at Coastline and Micro is pretty tough I have to say!
These next two weeks are coming close. Good luck to all. To all the March 26th interviewees-- if you will, please keep us updated. I know CUI will orchestrate a great class for 2011 and beyond.
i think the interview went well. there were a lot of really strong candidates, so i was a little intimidated at first, but all in all i think it went well. now i just wait...
good luck to those of you who have interviews this coming weekend!
