California Board of Registered Nursing, can you do "Walk-ins"?

U.S.A. California

Hi guys,

It seems like it is impossible to call the Board's phone number, it is always busy. I was wondering if anyone actually has an experience of visiting their main office located in Sacramento? I could not find any information on whether it is ok just to do a "walk-in" there, or you need to make an appointment. Please, advise... Thank you in advance!

You can take in the paperwork for your license renewal, but you will get it in the mail. They told me 5 days, and that's about what it was.

Two years earlier, I sent in the paperwork, heard nothing. I called, they knew nothing. It was the nearly the end of the month, and I had to work on the 1st, so I drove up there, and was told I had to fill out another application and write another check. For an extra couple of dollars, they gave me a certified copy which would keep them happy at work. (They don't do that anymore). After I got home, I found that my original check had already cleared the bank. I received my license by the end of the week, and it took 3 months to get my money back from the state!
