Hi everyone! I'm new here & I'm loving this site! So much information - thank you to all you posters!

I was just accepted at CSU Stanislaus for the Spring 09 Semester :D & was hoping to connect with some fellow students who will be attending or anyone who is currently in or has gone through their program. I'm a new Stanislaus student so I don't know ANYTHING really about the school or the program! It's a little daunting! Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I'm so excited to finally be in a program! I've applied to Modesto Junior College for 3 semesters and was rejected each time thanks to the lottery system! This was my first opportunity to apply at Stanislaus - so I'm so grateful & lucky to have been accepted! Can't wait to start classes on 2/16 - hope to hear from some of my new classmates!

Hi! Im not in the program, but i am applying for the fall, so hopefully i will be. Congratulations on your acceptance, very exciting! What was your GPA and Teas scores? I cant seem to find a lot of people on here that are in this program to give any info.

Any info on csu stan would be very helpful. I'm also applying to stanislaus and after browsing for the past month or so, I really haven't seen/read much on the school. For now it is the very last school on my priority list. I'd hate to leave that be not knowing if it really is a great school, though I really can't judge and say it's not- just uninformed I'd say. I put my app down for the fall of 09 as well.

Thank you! My TEAS score was ok - 89. When I took the test, I wasn't required to take/pass it at MJC ... we were kind of the "guinnea pigs" for future semesters, meaning if we passed it great, but if you failed it - it wouldn't count against you... so I really didn't prepare for it the way I should have. At that time I wasn't planning on applying at CSU where it would be factored into my application. My overall GPA is 3.8 and my core prequisite GPA is 4.0 - so that helped balance out that TEAS.

Good luck on your Fall application - I'll let you & bxdo know how the program is! Are you both applying elsewhere?Still hoping some current/former students will pop in here with some insight!

Welcome to CSUS Nursing! I am currently a Senior in the program (graduating in June:yeah:) I feel like it is a great program. I have been challenged and have grown tremendously in the past 3 years. The faculty really does care about the students...all you have to do is ask if you need help. They all have office hours, but are available much more than just those hours.

The campus is beautiful and I have really enjoyed my time there. You can PM me if you have any specific questions or if you would like to get together to look things over. I will be on Campus for a research project in the next couple of weeks and would be happy to show any of you around.

Blessings,

Ann

Thanks for posting Ann - it's so good to finally hear from someone who has attended the program! Congrats on your final semester! How exciting!

I would love to have a chance to meet with you on the campus sometime - I've only been there twice & I don't know where ANYTHING is! I'm in jury duty starting tomorrow (uggghhh)... but I'll be in contact. If you'll be on campus I'd love to get a chance to meet ya! I know I'll be there next week for sure for orientation - I can't wait!

Thanks again for introducing yourself :)
