Possibly Moving to Arizona

Hello, all! I am an ED RN that currently lives in California. I have 2 years of acute care ED experience. I am also single.

I say this because I don't want to get married/have a partner but I do want to adopt children from foster care. California housing is *very* expensive, as is everything else here, and I'm debating moving to Arizona where there is a cheaper cost of living. I'd like a little advice, if possible, regarding moving to Arizona.

1) What are some of the better facilities to work at in Arizona?

2) Culture/Atmosphere wise--Tucson or Phoenix? I am pretty socially and fiscally liberal.

3) How much can an ED RN expect to make an hour?

I want to say welcome to Arizona if you have moved already....The cost of living in Arizona is cheaper than Cali, also I am looking into adoption from foster care as well. I started also pursing IUI because my insurance from my job has really good benefits for this.

1. Banner facilities are very good, some are magnet facilities. Banner University is a Level 1 trauma center that is great. You also have St Josephs which is amazing as well, and Honor Health.

2. I stay in the Phoenix area and I work with Banner University, but you want to weigh your options.

3. I am not sure about the ED RN salary, what I would do is check online for the average in that area. Look at Mayo clinic, in their job description, they usually have what the salary is so you can use that as a guide.
