(Tucson, AZ) -- Arizona nurses will rally in Phoenix Tuesday to promote a bill that would set limits on the number of patients a nurse could have under her care in a hospital. The Arizona Patient Protection Act would set a limit of four patients to every one nurse as a minimum for hospital care. If passed, the state would be the second state to enact such a law, with California as the first. University Medical and UPH in the Tucson area say the bill would have little effect on them, as they already meet the standards of the law. Tucson Medical says they meet the individual standards as required by level of care needed for each patient.

The event was on the Phoenix news. They really did not have a large turnout. I got an email about a week ahead of the event, but I was working then. :(

So did it pass?
