Maricopa Waiting List / Placement / Timestamps 2010+

Hey everyone, I wanted to start a place for people to post and repost about waitlist times, placement runs, and their timestamps.

It is very hard searching for all the information and maybe people will access this thread and keep it updated with information so we all can get some idea on where we stand in line for Maricopa Nursing Placement.

As for me I have a

6/11/10 8:01:32 Timestamp. The placement just ran on March 6th,2012 and I was not placed. On the application website it says that the placement did NOT reach the June timestamps. This will mark 5 semesters that I was not placed (was expecting a 3 semester wait)

I am curious how far the placement ran. If people that were placed during the last placement run (3/6/12) come across this thread and would be willing to post their timestamp and what school choice number (1 through 5) they were placed in that would give an indicator how far away it is.

With almost 2500 people still on the waiting list it looks like it can be a 4-5 year wait for people just now getting on it. :(

Look forward to chatting with all of you and good luck.

Was anyone here placed in an evening or weekend program and what was your date/time stamp if you were?

Forgot to mention that SCC trad was my 4th choice

Keep in mind there are a lot of people that drop and fail out the first block.. So going into the second you don't have to stay at the same school all 4 blocks you can transfer to one closer if there are availabilities..

On the nursing.Maricopa.edu page select "current student" and the handbook is there... Page 14 talks about transferring within Maricopa colleges

@svjk88 the handbook does not say anything about transferring into a different program, like a traditional to an evening. Do you know if they allow this?

http://nursing.maricopa.edu/pdfdocs/Nursing_Student_Handbook.pdf

on the 14th page... this is exactly what it states:

"F. Transfer within MaricopaNursing

A student in good standing who successfully completes nursing courses may transfer between campuses on a space available basis, by following the steps listed below:" (Nursing_Student_Handbook_Rev. 4.14.14)

It is all based off spaces available though. I have a feeling the evening and weekend courses will be harder since they are a low capacity cohorts..

Hey all, I was placed in SCC traditional. My stamp was 12/7/12 8:01:05. I'm really kicking myself for leaving the traditional program on my list before I checked out what the schedule is like. I almost took SCC off my list but didn't think I would get close to being placed the 1st round anyway. Now I have to either defer and wait 9 months for a night or weekend program or somehow find someone to affordably watch my toddler without family around. :-(

I was one of the 12/2012 and did not get placed. I am absolutely unable to be flexible with any of the traditional programs so I left those off knowing I might not be placed. On the application page today it say about a dozen or so with 12/2012 didn't get placed due to limited choices so my fingers are still crossed that within the next few placement runs some people who were placed in the evening programs will defer and I still have a chance of starting in the Spring. The wait has been difficult to say the least :(

I feel you, sister! I should have done what you did but I did not think it through and now I will pay for it if I have to defer. Good luck! Hopefully not many of those 20 people will reaffirm so you'll move up the list! What was your time stamp?

Just a few seconds behind you 8:01:09...if you defer and I don't get in until Fall, looks like we'll be meeting next year :)!

This is exactly what I am going through. But I would rather wait another 9 months rather than be in a program with a schedule that won't work well for me for 2 years. I am probably going to defer but I can't seem to make myself do it yet :(

Definitely keep us posted on here if you get placed for Spring!! :)

How did you find this out? Is it the public and overall capacity spots on the nursing page? I never understand what those numbers are because like right now emcc says 7 spots...they only take 7 people this semester then?

That's just how many public spots they have available. There are likely quite. Few more students in that cohort. The CEP and students admitted early through affiliation with a hospital, are not included in that number. But EMCC is a smaller campus so I would think maybe 20-40 maybe a bit more do that class size, but only 7 are available to wait pool applicants.

Well, I just reluctantly sent in my deferral for Spring 2015 for SCC Trad in hopes of getting an evening/weekend program for fall. My stamp was 12/7/12 at 8:01:05. And so begins the wait..(again)

hang in there, I know you're probably tired of hearing the "it will be worth the wait" statements cause I sure am...no one understands the agony of wanting this so much like your fellow future classmates...I'm just hanging on to my faith that everything will fall into place with the right timing. When everything is all said and done, we will have worked very hard for what we accomplished!
