Immunizations & Fingerprints

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

So, I'm working on getting a CNA class under my belt before I put in my app. for an LPN program & I was wondering where everyone gets their fingerprints, CPR & FA, immunizations done at here in Az.?

I am going to Heartsavers for the CPR & FA & noticed that they have a TB test and fingerprint date available. I htought the only place they could get done was at the police dept....hmmmm...any insight on that?

I have no insurance and would appreciate any info. on where to go or costs of the immunizations

Specializes in NICU.

Go to a police department to get the fingerprints done.

To save on money, go to a health department to get the immunizations/PPD.

Specializes in Cardiac.

I got my fingerprints done at my school's police station-for free!

Specializes in Med/Surg/Tele/Acute Rehab.

If you haven't already done so, call the Arizona Department of Public Safety to request that they send you a fingerprint clearance card packet, 602-223-2279. You need to take the packet with you to get your fingerprints done. This is just to obtain the packet. It is the only place you can get it, and you must have it. Info from DPS can be found here: http://www.azdps.gov/reports/fingerprint/faq/default.asp

Once you have the packet, go to any of the places on the list found at http://nursing.maricopa.edu/ProspectiveStudents.php

I went to the Community Wellness Program in Gilbert. I just walked in, paid the fee, and was done in about ten minutes. You can also get the TB skin test there (not sure about any other locations), for an additional fee. They give you a discount if you do both. But, be aware they only do the TB tests on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, so go one of those days if you are doing both.
