How do YOU like SCC?

Hi!

I was accepted into the SCC/UIU program that will be starting this fall. I had SCC as one of my choices but always assumed I would get into MCC as that is the campus I have been at for the past year.

How are you guys liking SCC? Does it seem to be a good program?

Thanks!

just finished block 1 at SCC and its amazing!!!!! i love it (:

Awesome!! I'm feeling conflicted because I really love the MCC nursing school. But I'm excited to be starting! Are you going through UIU as well?

i chose to not to CEP because SCC offers block 3/4 next summer and i want to finish early. IF you are in CEP you cannot do this. SCC has better pass rates for NLCEX and they are extremely strict on their curriculum to ensure best outcomes. They truly prepare you for so much! plus the instructors for block 1 were amazing, i loved them all!

Okay, awesome! I am excited to get started!! Thanks for the info, I appreciate it :)

When did you hear about block 3/4 over the summer? Any additional information would appreciated!

My professor there teaches the summer sessions, this summer and next. If there are more people than spots available than they choose it based on GPA but if there are enough spots for all applicants for the summer session, you get right it. It's 12 weeks instead of 16.

Thanks for the info. I hope they keep this going I would love to do block 3 over the summer next year!

SCC definitely prepares you to be a nurse. They have an excellent NCLEX pass rate as well. It's a tougher program in my opinion, but worth it. I graduated in December 2015 and out of the 30 something people that graduated, only 1 didn't pass NCLEX on the first try. The professors want you to succeed but you'll have to put in the work to make it happen. SCC was my last choice but I'm so happy that's where I ended up going. I think you'll like it!

Thank you Shannfinn! I appreciate your reply : )
