Banner Thunderbird vs. St. Joseph's--accepting job offers

U.S.A. Arizona

I am an RN, BSN with 1 year of experience in med/onc moving to Phoenix from Missouri. I had 3 interviews this past week and got 2 job offers and am waiting to hear back from the 3rd this Today. I was offered a position on the Med/Onc unit at Banner Thunderbird and a position at Chandler Regional on the Med/Onc unit. I am waiting to hear back from St. Joe's this today. I will have to make a decision really quick as Banner wants me to get back to them by today (already received an extension, as they had wanted me to get back to them before the end of this last week). I am really interested in Banner Thunderbird and most likely will accept this offer but if offered a position at St. Joe's it will be a tough decision. Any advice? Banner Thunderbird vs. St. Joes?

Employee parking is a nightmare at St. Joe's. You will have to pay about 6 bucks a day to park in the visitors garage. Or, you can be bussed into St. Joes from remote parking (and the distance isn't really walkable.) I can't think of much things worse than to work a grueling 14 hour day/night, getting off of work, and then have to wait for a bus to take me to my car. That would add approx. 1/2 hour commute each way from and to work. They don't tell you that until you are in orientation.

I worked at Banner Thunderbird and liked it very much. Ample parking for employees. No down town traffic to fight.

I know nothing about Chandler except the distance from Banner Thunderbird is about 50 miles of interstate traffic.

I am impressed with your ability to get hospital jobs with only 1 year hospital experience. You go girl, (assuming you are a girl!).

Banner for sure!

From what I hear dignity health has better benefits than banner
