U.S.A. Arizona

What are you points toward the app? I am just curious about what I am up against!

is anyone else trying for the YC Spring 2011 Nursing Program?

not anymore, i have an interview at Pima CC for the Surgical Tech Program offered there

Congratulations to those of you that got in last semester!! I am curious how many points people are applying with for next semester? I will have 82 and I'm not sure that's enough to get accepted. I hope so.

I've done just about all of my pre and co reqs minus the Critical Thinking 101 class and the AIDS class. But unfortunately due to I'm finshing up Micro and my CNA right now I've lost a few points because of that. I don't like the fact that they don't include what you're working on currently, because I never get anything less than an A. I got an A on my HESI, and I have a very high GPA.

The advisors said I am well off to be accepted into the program but we will see. I have been working extremely hard and I don't live in Yavapai county either. So I am deducted a few points because of that.

But hoping for the best here! I submitted my app, and I just wish I knew how long it takes to find out when/if you're accepted. I'm about 65 points.

So you were told that you will most likely get in? That's good to hear. I couldn't get a clear answer or range of points. Have you heard from anyone else what their points are? I was told that we should know by November 5th.

November 5th? That's good to know thank you, I'll be crossing my fingers till then.

I talked to three different people, all three were very impressed by my scores and grades. One said no doubt I would get in. Another said everything was great the only concern she had was the points lost from not being a yavapai resident or student previously. Third said she had only seen three other people who were as ahead as I was and she helped me endlessly with my application. Also, she couldn't have pushed me more to make sure I applied. I was really surprised.

I was also told the amount of people that apply for spring entry is much less. There are 34 seats I believe for spring at prescott, not sure about verde. She said they expect 2 applicants for every seat, which isnt bad compared to most other places. Fall I believe there are 80 or so seats. But in fall they have night classes as well as day classes.

I just hope I don't get let down. Ive had my heart set on this. I'll be driving over an hour there.

Were you talking to the advisors in Prescott? Hopefully we will both receive acceptance letters in the next week or two.:)

Yes two in prescott and one in verde. I'll cross my fingers for both of us. Hopefully ill see you in the spring.

This waiting is killing me. Have you heard anything yet?

No, I'm dying too. :( I feel OCD about checking the mail and every time my email notification goes off I get nervous. Lol.

Awh, I remember feeling the same way! The mail man got to know me VERY well. Last semester our letters didn't arrive until two weeks after the date they said they would, hopefully yours come sooner! Good luck to you all!

Great....I'm not sure I can handle 2 more weeks of waiting and wondering. Do you know anyone applying this semester and what their points were?
