- May 27, '09 by melsman1904Have you tried calling HR to check the status of your application at the various facilities? Do you know anybody who works at these places that would speak favorably on your behalf? Pull any and every string you can.
- May 27, '09 by 09RNQuote from melsman1904I have called and called again. All I keep hearing is that they are getting hundreds of apps for each position posted. That its very competitive out there. In my class they only people that have jobs are the ones that were techs during school. I did have an in or at least I thought so. My friend from class was to speak to her manager about me but never heard anything about it.Have you tried calling HR to check the status of your application at the various facilities? - May 27, '09 by markuskristianCome to Montgomery. The Baptist Health System has a dire need of RNs. Check out the website baptistfirst.org Last time I checked they had around 40 entries for RNs.
- May 27, '09 by Mommy_of_3_in_AL..RNdepends on where you are wanting to work. Some places are in desperate need of nurses, where as others are just over the brim full of applicants. Dont give up..i was determined that i would work in ICU at a specific hospital, so i started applying right after graduation in December. I interviewed a couple days after passing boards, and got the job. We were fully staffed for about a week, now we are struggling the find nurses. We are very short, but the deal it, we have plenty of aplicants, just hard to find experenced nurses.
Seriusly, keep trying..dont give up on your dream job, even if it means taking something else for the time being and working toward it. Do you mind if i ask where you are trying to get on at?? - May 27, '09 by 09RNQuote from Mommy_of_3_in_AL..RNI have been applying to Brookwood and St. Vincents. UAB is on a freeze.
