October 8th 4:30 P.M. Is the deadline but I went ahead and turned my application in yesterday. I'm applying with 210 points to the Shelby campus. Good luck to everyone :o

Im at the Shelby campus also! I really think that its just first week jitters! It was a LONG week. Send me a message and we can sit together in class or something, hope your second week gets a LOT better!!

Wait, halfway thru the semester... That will all change!!! Lol even more so towards the end of the semester! Nursing school is a totally different beast! I'm 4th semester mobility. I'm a LPN and trust me I'm not above asking anyone for help!

Study Questions

I found these study questions on here. At first I thought they were only for those preparing for the NCLEX-RN but, it has an option to isolate the questions by subject. For example, you can select only Fundamentals questions. So far I like it and it gets my brain working.....plus IT'S FREE.

Things are even worse now. The level of disorganization is unreal. We were given wrong dates for our validations, about 5 calanders, had stuff (7 chapters) dropped from a test a week before the test (we'll eventually be tested on it). Our pharm test was cancelled because of the weather and they will let us know before our next pharm class when it'll be. We have only see a demo in injections lab and are supposed to be validated the 13th. Our other labs were so rushed with very little practice and there are no open labs. Is it like this at every campus or just Shelby? Oh it least they stopped all the video taping and picture taking by students because it was a huge desaturation.

OMG I totally agree with you! I'm at Shelby too and I absolutely hate it. I am so disappointed because it's not at all how I thought it would be. It seems like it's 90% self-study :no: I now tell my friends "GO TO UAB". This place is going to give me a nervous breakdown because we don't get to practice :banghead:

I'm feeling much better today. We've had three tests. The Fundamentals one was HARD but the Health Assessment & Pharm ones were not too bad :) Tomorrow is our first validation.

We had our first Fundamentals test and there were no "A's". Only 15 students out of 64 passed. I think the average grade was a 72.

I applied to summer2013 and I just checked my pipeline and my major changed to RN from pre-RN and said my admitting term for program would b summer... I have read that if your pipeline changes that it means you were accepted is that true? Bc they havent started calling yet and prob won't till next week.. Just curious if that happened for y'all

@Bsitz How many points did you apply with if you don't mind me asking.

Right at 170 i know thats horrible but i heard it's easier to get into summer semester that the.cutoff isnt as high i applied in the fall and didnt get in but my pipeline never changed, like it has now, did u apply? How many points did u have? I might have had a few more points if they took one of my high school a's instead of my b from college
