U.S.A. Alabama

Hi! Just wondering is anyone going to CACC? I am taking my pre reqs there now hoping to get into the nursing program this fall. I took my ENG 101 two years ago and quit without withdrawing and I am taking that over and goin to ask for course forgiveness and 3 more pre reqs will they see the grades from this semester in enough time to decide that I can get into the nursing program for this fall? I am trying to get into the LPN program. If anyone has any advice for me please feel free. Thanks, Niki

Boys are so fun!!!! Atleast they will be in school while you are going to school. My boys will be 3 and 2 in the fall. It will be a huge challenge but we can definately do this!!! I really hope and pray that I get in this fall also. I can't stand the waiting game!!!! I definately know what you mean by wanting to start and get it over with. Good luck to you and your family. Hopefully I will be seeing you around campus soon!!!!

Yes, I LOVE having little boys, they are a lot of fun and mine are mama's boys! LOL Good luck to you and yours as well, let us know what you find out in a month or so...I'm dying to know if I got in, my friends got in, etc. Have a good weekend!!

When did your friends get in?

Sorry, let me rephrase that...I'm dying to see if I got in, also dying to see if my friends got in as well. We're all chomping at the bit right now! :scrm:

One of my friends is trying to get in also. I really don't think I will get in this time. But, I know if I don't it will be for a reason. And for the LPN's they also have a sring semester here in my local town. Good luck to you and your friends. Are all of your friends trying to get into the RN also?

Yes, we're all trying to get into the RN program. If CACC doesn't take me this fall, I'm going to go ahead and transfer to Jeff State.

If you are taking those classes this summer, then no, they will not be up in time for it to count. They go by a point system. It is in the catolog and you get certain points for your gpa, compass score and the biologies you have taken in college or the ones you took in high school. I will tell you this...it is much easier to have your basics out of the way. I am finishing my last two basics this summer and hopefully I will get in this fall. GOOD LUCK!!!

This is so very true. I'm taking Micro right now along with NUR 201. So far, I have had several 6 day weeks. Juggling clinicals, nursing class, and academic classes is not fun.

How many points did you have when you got accepted? I have 194 out of 200. I just hope that is enough. I have worked my butt off to get this far. I took Micro and A&P II at the same time in the Spring. I couldn't imagine having to take them in the summer. Good luck to you. I hear the summer semester in RN school is the hardest.

As far as how many points I had...I think I was somewhere around 190.

With 194 points, you should get in, but I can't promise that you will. I'm sure you already know this, but it's worth stating anyway: Unless you have a perfect 200, you being accepted depends entirely on what the other 500 or so applicants scored.

So far, this has been the most difficult semester...mainly because it's a shorter semester with so much info to cover and quite a few clinicals as well.

I only know a few people who have more points than me, but I am still worried. They say over 700 people applied this time. :bluecry1:

Over 700, huh? Jeeeez, I'm in the 190s on points, too, and still worried for some reason I won't get in this fall. I've heard from others in my class this summer who are waiting also they're telling everyone mid-July or later to hear something...I'll probably have pulled every last hair outta my head by then going to the mailbox every day! *sigh* Good luck, everybody!
