@silverdragon tnx! nway how do we know if our applications are 1 of the 500 mentioned? does this mean complete requiremnts already like ielts. etc?? tnx agen..

according to the cic website applications are returned if not complete

4. check your application

make sure that:

* your application and all forms are completed and signed

* your processing fee is included, and

* all required supporting documents are included.

if not, your application will be returned to you and you will have to complete and resubmit it. use the document checklist included in the application package (appendix a) to make sure your have not forgotten anything. if you validate the generic application form for canada [imm 0008] online and print and include the barcode page, it will help make sure your application is complete and help you avoid delays.

applications that are received by the centralized intake office (cio) on or after november 14, 2011 that have not been prepared using the updated instruction guide and the document checklist (imm 5612), will be returned as incomplete.

hello to my fellow nurses.... my friend told me of this site. she was concerned of our wanting to apply at pinoycare visa agency. i have a mixed emotions, i tried to check the point system in the Canada immigration site, lets say i passed the 67 points but the real problem is the settlement fund. i wanted to apply to them because of the promise of help for the settlement fund for i don't have any assets to provide such a big amount even if i gather all my relatives for help. but after reading all the threads here... I'M REALLY CONFUSED OF WHAT TO DO... i need this opportunity because im a single mom and im not getting younger... and still don't have any opportunity here in the Philippines but to be a volunteer forever.... i have mouths to feed... please help.

Not sure what route you are looking at but it is wrong in my opinion of the agency to give you the funds when you will need to be able to support yourself once here in Canada. I don't know how they can offer you a job and if you go the federal skilled route for PR and there is no employer then you will be affected by the cap and have to wait until next year. There is a cap of 500 and in a month the list is already showing 138 have gone and your file including IELTS has to be complete when submitted.

Only you can decide what to do but it is expensive here when setting up coming from outside of Canada as you have no credit history.

hello everyone! i'm gathering my documents for immigration to canada. i just have a question regarding the personal networth statement.

my common-law partner and i are applying together but I'm the principal applicant. we both have joint bank accounts and separate bank accounts. i wanted to maximize our assets so i was wondering if i can add my partner's own bank account to the application? or does the account really have to contain my name? tia. :)

Today is a happy day for me coz I got what I have been waiting and waiting for, my Canadian Immigrant Visa! I got it in a matter of just 6 moths. wow!

HAHAHAHA!!!!

yea, i wanted to laugh at that post! 6 months! LMAO!!!

probably the encoding alone took 6 months. mine sure took 8 months since it was just sitting there in their office... getting all dusty.

FYI: communication and processing between the applicant and EMBASSY (that means, the application and all the requirements were already submitted to and received by the Canadian embassy) takes 9 MONTHS exactly. so processing of your documents by the agency + embassy process in 6 months is plain BULL.

I don't blame you for making such remarks, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. What is laughable is that I am leaving and you guys are just sitting ducks! hahahahaha! One thing for sure YOU are in the WRONG agency too bad tsk, tsk, tsk.

As a non-Phillipino and a mere Canadian, I too am highly dubious of your claim. Nobody finalizes their immigration in six months. Even being sponsored as spouse takes longer than that.

Wrong agency has nothing to do with it. The cap has now been reached for this year and who knows if it will be on next year. The average process for PR is 9+ months but a lot will depend on how quickly medical is asked for and taken.

I lodged my papers last November of 2010, after 7 months, i got my visa. I plan to leave with my entire family this coming November of 2011. Honestly, I could not believe that it would be this soon and that fast. I look back and realized that in the end, it is really important that your papers are properly handled and well organized before being lodged. When everything is in proper order and you respond immediately to whatever is required, and most especially if you are well advised by your consultancy firm, everything will just be smooth sailing. New horizon, new adventure, new beginning for the quest of my abundant life!
