NVC -CP- GC Tracker

World Immigration

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

I'll be sending these next week since my NBI will be released next week.

Hi fruity! May I know what kind of photos are they asking you to submit? This is different from their previous requirements.

No. Actually they are the same, still 4pcs passport sized photos and these were also the documents they asked the last time... though our marriage cert and birth cert were not asked again. Hope this helps.

hi fruity, your packet3 has been approved already right? I am really confuse right now. my lawyer did not ask me to submit any documents. this is the new email that I received from her....

Hi Monroe,

I emailed a letter to the NVC today regarding the I-864 form and also to schedule you an interview in Manila.

When I hear back I will let you know.

Hi Monroe77! I didn't actually knew that my case was completed since I didn't bother to call the NVC during the retro, but my lawyer said that my case was completed. Maybe one these days your lawyer will recieve the same letter from the NVC, according to the representative I spoke to last week, give it at least a month for the mailing and stuff.... My lawyer said that the submission of updated ds230 is for ALL. Maybe my lawyer meant to "all" who are stuck in packet3.

hello guys...well, seems we are all in the same situation...I should have been in the US but was a victim of "series of unfortunate events"... (miscommunication with my agency,retro,etc... It was last week that my agency told me to submit an updated DS230 however I called NVC last night to update my case and received the same message I received through mail and was quite disappointed about it. It seems that my lawyer is not acting on my behalf. NVC told me that once they received the missing document (which I submitted only last June 1), they will process it 6 to 8 weeks...so it means the waiting period would be long...anyone out there who have the idea how months would it take before I become documentarily approved without hassles and the waiting period for packet 4...been so depressed about it. what if retro strikes again?...

and guys, a friend of mine received her visa yesteday...( well, she deserves it because she was interviewed last Nov)...So would it mean visas are really available? hope we could also have it soon...Good luck and please keep me posted. thanks....

this is the latest email that i got from my lawyer. it seems that she is already irritated because i keep on sending her an email everyday. hehehehe...

monroe,

i have continued to explain to you. every case is different!!!!!!!!!!!

please keep these comments to you self. i do not need to hear these comments about what is going on with your friends case and i do not have time to respond to your emails about this because i am working on many other nurse cases including yours.

now, i received a response from the nvc by email that we need to re-submit your ds 230 form again, however until i have received the request from the nvc by mail we cannot send in the ds 230 form again. you need to wait until i receive the request from nvc by mail before we send anything in.

your nbi certification expires after july 18, 2007. you may have an interview before that date or it may be scheduled after that date. if it is scheduled after that date you must get a new nbi clearance. we have not heard about needing new updated police clearances and your passport does not expire until 2010. so don't worry about the police clearances, photos or passport until we hear anything further.

i have attached your ds 230 form. please inform me of any changes that need to be made on the form via email.

The retrogression is still not over. There is just a special release of some visas that were recapped. But they are not just for nurses, nurses are actually going to get very few of them in the scheme of things.

And they will be gone soon. If the person does not already have a file that is 100% complete and already at the US Embassy, they do not stand a chance of getting a visa at this time.

Those of you that have not even had the I-140 submitted at this point, will still be waiting months to get that approved. And are not under the retrogression as I-140s have always been accepted, they were never limited. But please be aware that immigration fees go up 80% at the end of July, and expect to see significant changes to your contracts there you initially signed.

and this means that your file is not complete. if you are needing to have the ds-230 resubmitted, then the file is not complete at this time.

hello, i'm new here but i've been following this thread for a long time now. like most of you guys, my case was completed sept 2006, and again like most of you, NVC is requesting an updated DS-230. This request, I think is the same for everyone who had their case completed, but were caught up by the retro. It's the ist time that NVC did this, for some reason. I don't believe that if your case is still in the NVC and not in the consulate right now that you won't get your visa this year. I believe there are a lot of visas for the Philippines as shown in the june VB, we were the only country that jumped to 2005 mainly because a lot of nurses have already left the country because they benefited from the recaptured visas.Majority of immigrants who consume EB3s in the Phils are nurses. As a result, the line got shorter so more visas will be available, maybe beyond october and upto december 2007. If your fee bill was already paid last year before the retro, I think there will ba a visa for you this year. I hope i'm right

Hi guys. I received email from my lawyer and they are already asking me to submit updated DS 230 and NBI Police clearances, although they did not ask for photos. I did not submit photos also last yera, maybe this is just the requirement of the employer not for NVC.

I don't think the employer would want to have passport-sized photos of my whole family.:lol2: . But i guess each and every case is unique
