I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

I-140 approved : October 2004

NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

Visa received : ???

Date of entry in the US :???

GC receive : ????

Hi guys! I read the posts and I am also confused. My PD is November 2005, case completion aug 2006. Message I got from NVC email also the one asking for DS 230... since a lot of us are in this dilemma, let's update one another regarding what NVC wants us to do next. Our lawyers are not answering our inquiries.

I hope these are just errors in their computers and I hope that we do not have to go back to sending the documents again, I hope they will just schedule us for interview and just let us bring the updated documents during the interview.

I hope by July 1 everything will be clear as to what we should be doing next.

DS230> is this the form that we have to sign in front of the consul? maybe they just need the updated version....what's ds230 again?:uhoh3: :lol2:

DS230 is your biographic information and for any immediate family you are taking with you (packet 3)

received email of my lawyer and this is what she said: (although i am wondering why she said my case was not completed when i called nvc last year they said case completion was august 23, 2006. those with august 19 case completion was still interviewed (they were the last batch before retrogression). )

your case which was submitted to nvc, was not completed, therefore it fell into the retrogression. nvc informed us that any case affected by retrogression will require that new updated visa applications be submitted, together with any new original documents that may have expired. they are in the process of sending out these requests. this office did not receive the request for your case yet.

i guess those were the june 4 letters that nvc told you that were sent oput but maybe this letters have not reached our lawyers yet.

hi, guys!

i called up my lawyer. he said NVC should have my DS-230 and that I don't have to send it again. But if NVC is asking me to send them again, I should. If he receives anything in the mail, he will send it to me asap. So far, the letter that the representative said they mailed last June 4, 2007 is not with him yet. So, it's still a wait and see game. July will be the month that processing will begin for my visa he said.

I know the feeling Leis, having a PD very old and stuck in Packet 3 with a current VB then suddenly we have to start packet 3 all over again.... those awaiting for their packet 3 might be luckier than us... they may have completion earlier....and probably get an interview.

My lawyer said the same that ds230 is already submitted and no need to send another one.... really confusing...:o

we'll just have to wait, i guess. God has everything planned for us. I was just thinking yesterday that if my application was not caught in the retrogression and I left for the US last year, I wouldn't have met my bf right now. So, let's just be patient. All in God's time. ;) God bless to all of us.

this is the latest email that i received from my lawyer...she responded very quickly to my inquiries....

hi monroe,

yes, the retrogression will be over in july. this means that everyone's priority date will become current in the month of july. we do not know how long this will last.

we need to wait until july and then we will contact uscis and the nvc center to write a follow up on the status of your case. i will email you a copy of this letter once it is sent out.

just hang in there, hopefully you will be issued an interview soon,
