It has been published in http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/cut_off_dates.html if you want to check it.

Good luck topscot, hope you get your interview soon. Did NVC send your file to the London embassy?
No not as yet

Good day to everyone:nuke:, i have a PD of August 26, 2005, NVC is asking for an updated DS230 and all the requirements that goes with it. But I will send it next week because I am still waiting for my husband's ds230 which I sent to him in the ship ( he is a seaman ). There are still a lot of PD's of 2005 which are still on the process of completing their papers inorder to send to NVC. I just pray that we will not run out of visas when we will have our interview.

Godspeed & Godbless us all:saint:

Was your husband actually on your original DS-230? If not, then he will not be getting a visa now.

Having a current PD date alone does not guarantee a visa this time thru, not sure if you have had approval for the two of you already in the past. The reason that the PD dates have moved forward is because of incomplete files and the US government is trying to clear out as many as they can.

Hi Suzanne, yes he is in the original Ds230 form which we passed on October 2006 & an update DS230 which we passed on July 2007 respectively.

Then you both should be just fine. Every so often lately, we get a poster that got married since their original petition was submitted and the spouse does not have approval on the DS-230.

Best of luck to you and keep us posted.

Thank you so much Suzanne for the encouraging word, and I will keep you posted on any development in my case. God has timetable for everyone , Godbless:saint:

Hi Suzanne, my PD is 28 april 2006. During last 10-12 months my case remained untouched in the NVC. But recently the announcement by automated voice response of the NVC was changed. It seems like the case started to be reviewed. The last movement was the request of NVC to update DS-230 forms (initial forms as well as visa fee were sent last august). How would you interpret this situation? According to your experience, is there any chance for soon interview appointment?

Thank you

Suzanne may not be around for the next few days.

NVC has since started processing cases again since last month and applicants with up to a Nov. 2006 PD has received such notice.

Not many have actually received the official letter to be sent by NVC.

And majority of those w/c have received the actual letters and have sent the updated docs have not been given actual interview dates yet, except those with 2004 PDs or those whose files were already in their respective US consulates/embassies on their home countries.

Closing out the case or getting an interview largely depend on the continuous forward movement of cut-off dates in the monthly visa bulletin. If the dates stop moving or even retrogresses back before NVC can get into your file and schedule you for an interview, they will hold on to it AGAIN until the next cycle. This should not be a surprise to you anymore as you already experienced the process stopping last year.

There is nothing left for you to do but to wait for the letter that NVC will send and then send the updated docs again and pray that there will still be visa numbers left for your case.

You can monitor out thread specific for this: https://allnurses.com/forums/f75/nvc-cp-gc-tracker-112714-245.html

Hi Lawrence,

Thank you very much for the detailed answear. When you say "updated documents and official letter from NVC" , do you mean a request for updated DS forms or it is the step after receiving updated DS forms by NVC? Actually last august I sent to NVC a set of original documents. Tey wrote that the rules were changed and now they are reviewing origilal docs in NVC insead of embassys. They received my docs but till now did not reviewed them. Did you hear same story (I mean request of original docs) from anybody else?

Thank you, again

Yes, that's the norm now. You can read that for yourself on the link I posted above (NVC-CP-GC) tracker. You are not alone.

Thank you Lawrence for the valuable information and your support!
