thanks for your response. i just called nybon and the lady told me that everybody educated outside us requires cvs regardless of their licensure status in usa. i was too stupid to choose cabon to save my time its gonna cost me more time. i live in ny with my family and i don't feel like leaving them and going to ca for work . it is too far from ny. i have a cg certificate so there is a hope. the next option would be i may look for a job in new jersey, it is hardly half an hour drive from my place. let's see...i am still wondering what to do....
starbin, maybe you could call them up again and clarify whether or not you really still need to apply for cvs. like suzanne said, if you don't have the actual license from ca then you aren't really endorsing but actually applying for initial licensure.
i'm curious on what the lady said. does this mean that whether or not its initial licensure or endorsement, as long its a foreign grad, you still have to apply for the cvs? this is kind of redundant. i can understand if its from ca (since they do their own evaluation) but how about those from states endorsing w/c used ces ??
you have a very interesting case esp. to those who are having 2nd thoughts on ca and those who's agencies promise them they can work on another state eventhough ca won't give the actual license.
in consolation, you're already in ny and you can call them up or visit them anytime. just hope that when you eventually apply for cvs they won't do the requesting from the school and licensing body stuff anymore since you already have a file in cgfns. this took jonrnmd 2mos.
keep us updated. best of luck to you.
