When you pull up your med in the syringe, pull back a little more when the needle is out of the vial so that you have an air bubble in the xyringe. When you inject you push the air in too, and it forced the med a little farther into the tissues. Decreases the chances of the med leaking out.

I'm just curious if anyone else has ever given a Z-track injection. I gave one many years ago in school and never forgot how cool it was, but I don't even know anyone else who has ever given one.
