There are several less stressful and part-time or remote healthcare job options you could consider. Here are some ideas:

  • Telehealth nurse. Many organizations hire experienced nurses to provide telehealth services, which can often be done from home. You'd offer medical advice, follow-ups, and triage over the phone or video calls.
  • Case management. Remote case management roles involve coordinating patient care, managing treatment plans, and ensuring patients receive the necessary services. This can often be done on a part-time basis.
  • Nurse Educator. If you enjoy teaching, you could work as a part-time online nurse educator for nursing schools or healthcare organizations. This could involve creating and delivering course content or mentoring nursing students.
  • Health Coach. Health coaching involves working with clients to improve their health and wellness. This can be done remotely and part-time, focusing on lifestyle changes, diet, exercise, and managing chronic conditions.
  • Medical writer. If you have strong writing skills, consider becoming a medical writer. This can involve creating content for healthcare websites, writing research papers, or developing educational materials.
  • Utilization review nurses review patient care to ensure the appropriate use of resources and compliance with healthcare policies. Many of these positions are remote and part-time.
  • Patient Advocate: As a patient advocate, you can help patients navigate the healthcare system, understand their rights, and make informed decisions about their care. This role can be done remotely and on a flexible schedule.
