Recently in a nursing meeting at my district, a nurse announced that she frequently fed students IN the clinic. Hunger, tummy ache etc. being the rationale.
Not sure if I was the only nurse at the meeting that gagged a little. Is it just me or do others allow eating in the clinic?

My real office is at the D.O. I don't see students there for the most part unless a continuation kid needs an H&V or gets sick which rarely happens.
I eat lunch at my desk.
I eat lunch at my hospice desk as well. Three nurses share that desk so I always wipe it down before and after, just to be nice.
Still not sure about why eating in the clinic is a bad idea; especially with diabetic kids.
The one diabetic kid at one elementary school has all his snacks kept in the classroom. The kids eat their snacks at their desks . . . . WAY more germs there I think!
