I have done tons of research and have decided that I will like to go to either York or UofT for their accelerated nursing programs. I would like to ask students who are currently in the program or graduates a.couple of questions.
1) I have heard that UofT provides better placements compared to york ie. Major downtown hospitals. Is this true?
2) Is it hard to maintain a high GPA at UofT compared to York - since there is more theory at UofT?
3) Does York provide placements in all areas of your choice, or is based on whatever is available?
4) If you had a choice, would you change schools? If so, why?
I will appreciate all help and feedback. Don't hesitate to tell me any other experiences you had during your time in the program!
Hi, I've den a bit more research. I've found out that it appears that U of T does indeed get preferential access to downtown hospitals, where York is more likely to have access to areas outside of the core. Hope that helps!
