Hi I am trying to get some information about the safety of Yondr bags in school - cell phone pouches with a magnetic locking and device in the pouch and safety for students staff with pacemakers CIDs thank you. the are pouches designed to close cell phones during the school day and are opened by staff at the end of the day, I left e email submissions to the Yondr company and have not heard back, thank you

Interesting. I've only heard of this concept and have not seen it in action.
Looking at the website, I wouldn't think the magnet would affect anything - it looks like the security device on clothes at a department store.
I'm interested in finding out what you learn.

Contact the medical device companies themselves. There are product reps that are attached to most medium sized hospital cardiology dept's. Boston Scientific and Medtronic are the two big ones. They'd at least get you pointed in the right direction. Magnets need to be pretty robust to change pacer/ICD programing and placed directly over the device as well. It's a good question tho...
