Hi there, I'm a veteran nurse of 12 years specializing in the NICU. About 5 years ago a family asked my assistance to help them with their chronic newborn. I agreed and this turned into a whole new world of opportunity for me. I was able to make extra income (way more than a overtime shift) and feel totally satisfied. Since then I've transformed into a Newborn Nurse Consultant but I'm curious to know if there are any other Nurse Consultants out there? How have you taken your work experience and turned it into a profit?Have a great day :)TexasP

I started as a Social Media Consultant because that was recommended indirectly by the RNFMradio.com folks :). I am a Care Coordinator in my Day job..yet figuring out how to do that outside of my Day job was taking time...delay = death of ideas. I proceeded with doing what I was already doing. That is teaching people how to better use Social media , Virtual Assistants, as well as Systems to make their Professional life easier. Unsure if you can post a link here yet feel free to PM me with your website.

As far as supplemental income goes, I put my spare time in making medical procedure and educational YouTube videos on the channel, TheNP. I make income through ad revenue. I started out with 3 videos and quickly racked up a decent income from it so I kept going. I love it!

You travel to patients homes and teach the families how to manage their kids illnesses? How does that work as far as staying in your scope, malpractice insurance, etc?
