YEAH! EC gave me a military spouse scholarship!

WOO HOO I got my award letter (emailed to the address that i listed for my FASFA- apparently thats where they send the awards too) for a $500 scholarship...however, it says i can use them for two exams...ummm all my exams were paid for with my grant, so now i have to call them and see if it can be applied to the CPNE or not...sigh...or else i'll sign up for two additional gen ed exams, seeing how they can always be used for more credits for my BSN after =)

PS...just a hint for those, if you submitted a FASFA and you are not sure if you got a scholarship or not, I emailed the financial aid department through MyEc messages, and asked if they had awarded all of the military spouse scholarships, and if not when would I find out if i was eligible or not...i had to send her a copy of my military id and then i called today to check the status and they gave it to me immediately upon my call! the next awards go out April 15th so if you haven't done a FASFA yet i'd suggest doing it so you can be eligible for scholarships on that award date!

My recruiter says I'll wear extra small, extra short. LOL. I might be going to officer basic in July ... we'll see. March would be the first slot, but that's cutting it a bit close for some things I need to have done before I go (paramedic recert, etc.).

That's great. Thanks for the info, I need to contact EC to find out if I received something. It would really help me out. I assumed EC Fin Aid would let you know at the end of the month. I've been checking my email but nothing yet. Hope Santa comes through for me. :)
