I had A&P and Nursing Fundamentals. In A&P read the chapter before the instructor covers it (do that with all your classes) to always be prepared that way. Don't highlight what you read, wait till lecture and highlight what they go over in the book. At least that is what I did. I would get a good NCLEX study guide and do about 20 questions a night. Even though you are not familiar with things just Yeats it will help you in the long run. We have benchmark tests after certain classes and those NCLEX questions will help with that. Saunders is a good book. You can go online and do questions and always read the rationals! They help you understand what you got wrong. Hope this helps a little.

the hardest classes in the lpn program will be pharm and med surg. my advise to you is if you know the key words in each chp they lecture on you are half way there. trust and believe you will not know every drug but make sure you have the classifications down and how it effects with the body systems. Do flash cards as soon as you start or buy the flash cards from barnes and nobles that will help you with that class. GOODLUCK!!!
