Published

So I finally heard back from Drexel about a week or so ago. I applied in Dec. so its exciting to get accepted. I was wondering if there was anyone that will be attending Drexel in the Fall, it would be nice to know someone. I am open to any advise or all the help i can get... I'm so ready to start my journey becoming a nurse.:nurse:

ps. this is the 2nd degree option im talk about..

Hi! I'll be in Drexel's ACE program this fall too. I'm excited about the program, but increasingly anxious about the current job outlook.

Have you gotten financial aid/cost of attendance info yet? I was told we'd get a packet in late March and so far nada.

i have not seen anything yet....regarding cost or finacial aid :uhoh3::o..... but hopefully soon. Oh wat exactly do u mean the job out look?? did u mean after we graduate not being able to find a job?? (sorry just a little confused lol)...

Yeah, I'm nervous about finding a job as a new grad in this economy. I don't think it will be better in a year. But I'm hoping that my ability to relocate to anywhere will work in my favor.

But I need to put that aside. I want to go to Drexel, I'm excited about the program, and will deal with the future when I get there ;)

i see excatly wat u mean... i do firmly believe in my heart tho God will provide what i need, when the time comes (He always has).... Have u found anywhere to live??

I already live in Philly, so I don't need to worry. We're thinking about moving closer to DH's job though, and since we're placed all over creation for clinicals I figure it won't matter much in terms of commute time. Plus I'd be able to have the car since his partner could pick him up.

oh ok... that is awesome.... ive actually never been to philly... so this will be a new experience.... do u have any suggestions on where to live?

I love University City. It's convenient to Center City where the campus is, has lots of fixed up Victorian homes, trees, independent businesses, an awesome yoga studio.... It's not too expensive either, especially compared to what you'd pay in Center City. If you look on Craigslist, good keywords for this neighborhood are "Clark Park", "Greenline" and "Upenn".
