My ex used to work @ Yale and left due to poor treatment of nurses. They have that reputation, worst in the state. They are also having some union organizing activity going on that has been pretty nasty. Don't know anyone currently working there.
Wow! Thanks! Any good hospitals in CT that you know of?
I've actually heard good things about most CT hospitals from nurses who work in them. In New Haven, St Raphael's is good. My sister-in-law worked at Bridgeport Hospital for many years and loved it. I know nurses at both of the hospitals in Hartford, Hartford Hospital and St Francis, that are very happy. Hartford is a Level I Trauma. Bridgeport and St Francis are Level II Trauma so they are all very busy in ICU and ED.

Kat,
I work at Yale-New Haven, in psych, my sister has worked in the CCU for 100 years.
The union comment must be more than 8 months old, union is long gone. UNLESS you are talking about actually working for the university vs. the hospital, some university workers are unionized.
Anyway, I like working there, and am treated quite well, the benefits are good, the pay is good.
