Hi guys! I saw that some of you guys have applied to Ivy league schools before and I was wondering if anybody had any advice.
I really wanted to apply to yale but i'm not sure if I would be competitive. The big reason why I'm worried is that even though I'm in a BSN program right now with a current 4.0 I didn't always get straight A's. A few years ago I graduated from college with a BS in Biology but only with a 2.7.
Will my first degree GPA strongly affect my chances of getting in, even if my second degree is a 4.0?
Also, if anybody has any other advice for applying to Ivy League schools I would greatly appreciate it.

Yes. They will require all transcripts. ALL. Advice? Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Apply and see what happens. Be honest and provide everything they ask for.

Yale certainly does look at previous transcripts. In my interview, I got asked about an F I had gotten in a phys ed class (badminton) 20 years earlier, the first time I went to college, long before I ever went into nursing. On the upside, I had pretty mediocre grades from those original two years of college (I didn't finish a degree at that time) and I ended up getting accepted (I had a 4.0 for my BSN program).
Best wishes!
