WWCC Nursing 2021

Published

Just wanted to see if anyone has applied to Walla Walla Community College nursing program for the upcoming fall?  The index score was higher than it ever was last year so hopefully its a little lower this year or the same.  Good luck to all who applied.  I have applied at CBC and WSU Tricities as well.

I finally received my updated degree audit and have submitted it to the Clarkston campus for review. Does anyone know when they typically send out their decisions?

I applied at the walla walla campus and got an email stating we will get letter notification the end of the month

Hoping we get letters by the end of the week. Good luck everyone

I have never been so anxious about something before! I have an index score of 35.4 with a 3.9 GPA but I'm missing points for A&P2 as well as 2 tiebreakers that I am currently taking this quarter! I am hoping this doesn't impact my chances of getting in! If it does hopefully I will get pulled from the waitlist. After this quarter I should have an index score of 38.4

Goodluck to everyone!

If anyone gets the letters please let me know ? I've been checking my mailbox like everyday now.

Ditto! I’m so anxious!

I applied with an entrance score of 35.3 I believe. Last years was so much higher compared to the other years so I am nervous. I checked my Usps mail app and nothing is in there for WWCC today? Hopefully by tomorrow?? Goodluck everyone!

I haven’t gotten anything either. I do have a question though, I was planning to do my CNA classes this Summer but I don’t plan on working as a CNA, in order to remain active under Washington would I have to work 400+ hours a year ? And is the CNA renewal yearly? I’m not from Washington btw. Also for the nursing program at walla walla community college do you get points or do they pick someone with CNA over Someone that doesn’t ?

The tie breaker is 2 points. 0.5 if you take Humanities, 0.5 another Humanities, 0.5 CNA license and 0.5 English 102 OR Communication class.

So you technically get 0.5 point for having CNA? Has anyone gotten in without having CNA when applied?

You only get awarded tiebreaker points (such as CNA, humanities, English etc.) if you and another student have the same index score, from my understanding. I have read that tiebreakers are rarely ever used. You can still get into nursing school without having a CNA as long as you will have it before the initial start date. I am taking mine this Summer as well.

Because I have all my humanities classes done and English so I would get awarded 0.5 for English and 0.5 for humanities.

If I don’t get in this year thinking ima wait off CNA only because I don’t plan on using it and to remain active one has to work 400hrs a year?
