Hello everyone,
I'm applying to the WSSU ABSN program, and I could not find the 2022 application cycle thread, so I decided to start one. I already completed step one of the application process and will probably submit step 2 by the end of July. I am excited and anxious about the whole process. Has anyone applied or in the process of applying?

Hello! I found previous threads from past classes. As everyone else, I am anxiously awaiting to here back. Last year they didn’t receive their notifications until the 27th, but that could be partially due to COVID. Also it seemed as if they sent out denial letters first. Then the wait listed/acceptance letters second.
Hello!
I am thinking of applying to WSSU and A &T Next Spring. I wanted to know if anyone is commuting about an 1hr. I live in Charlotte now and wanted to see if it would be best for me to move closer, or if the commute would be doable. I have a new car and I don’t want to run up too many miles on it LOL. Also, I’m new to the south so I don’t know how the whole driving and mileage thing works as yet.
Also, does anyone know if lectures are virtually?
Thanks in advance

If I get into the ABSN program or decide to do traditional path, I’ll be commuting about 45 minutes. I don’t think it’ll be too bad. A lot of people from our small town commute to Winston daily.

Thanks for your reply! That makes me feel a lot better about the commute.

I also found previous threads from past classes. I pretty much stalked last year's thread while taking my prerequisites. I think 2019 applicants heard back around Oct 18th so you may be right about 2020 applicants not hearing back until the 27th due to COVID. I hope we hear back before the 27th since the confirmation email I received said early October.
I hope we all get accepted into the program. Goodluck everyone ?

I have also been checking my email so frequently and worrying about this that I have, too, started to feel overly anxious and sick about it. I already denied Duke's program because this one is cheaper and faster. I talked to a travel nurse recruiter and she said that it doesn't matter where you go to school, they just look for the experience. One semester at Duke would still have cost more than this program.

Me, too!! I am struggling right now. My stomach has been in knots for a week. Last night I read through last year's acceptance thread-- OMG. I'd have been a nervous wreck to wait until the 28th! =o|

I keep freaking out every time I get an email notification LOL. I'm trying to relax and wait for the email but patience is not one of my virtues. I hope we find out very soon.

Yes, good luck to you too! I hope you get in both places! The waiting is brutal...
