WSSU ABSN 2022 Start

Hello everyone, 


I'm applying to the WSSU ABSN program, and I could not find the 2022 application cycle thread, so I decided to start one. I already completed step one of the application process and will probably submit step 2 by the end of July. I am excited and anxious about the whole process. Has anyone applied or in the process of applying?

Looking at previous years' threads, I expected there to be many more people responding to this. But I am currently in the process of applying to both the university and the ABSN program and stressing every minute of it! All of the threads from previous years have been super helpful though. Hopefully this one will pick up soon!

Yes, me too. I hope this one picks up soon. I submitted the university application July 1st and the ABSN application on July 22nd. From the info in threads from previous years, we should hear back in October, so the waiting game begins and I'm very anxious. Good luck to you!

Hi all! I am applying for the 2022 start as well. Question on your WSSU applications- did you guys see the Spring 2022 option? I only saw Spring 2021 and Fall 2021 and can't figure out why I am not seeing the Spring 2022 option?

On a side note, I am very excited this thread was started as the previous years do look very helpful. 

ETA: I am pretty tech-savvy and feel like I've tried all options to figure out why I am not seeing it, but who knows LOL

Hello @kartonp

I initially saw Spring and Fall 2021 only. I called the admissions office and they fixed it. They said it was because I tried to apply the day Spring 2022 cycle opened (July 1st). I recommend you call the admissions office if you still can’t see the Spring 2022 option.

Hey all! Just got my acceptance into WSSU not the actual program and now I’m patiently waiting for October (hopefully it won’t be as late as last year). This all is so stressful, hate not knowing! Last years thread helped so much so I’m hoping more people will hop on here

Thanks for letting us know; I didn't get an email, so I had to log into the rams portal to check on it; I got my acceptance into WSSU as well. I'm impatiently waiting for October and trying to stay busy, so I don't think about it every second of the day. Yes, it is very stressful, and I hope we hear back in early October. Good luck to you ?

Did anyone receive a confirmation email or anything after submitting the ABSN application? I saw the message saying that the application was submitted on the website after I submitted it but did not get an email or anything to confirm, I just want to be sure I did not forget something or that I actually submitted everything. Thank You!

Yes, here is a screenshot of the confirmation email I received.

@jmc94 I didn’t get a confirmation email but I emailed them to confirm all necessary documents were received and they responded with a yes.

Hey guys, what are your stats? I have a 3.02 GPA, 4.0 Pre-req GPA, and a 760 Critical Reading SAT. I'm just curious where I might stand as I have no idea what the typical stats are!

Hey @blurryone,

I have a 3.61 GPA, 4.0 Pre-req GPA, and an ACT English Score of 25. Based on previous forums, I think they look at the whole picture but pay more attention to Pre-req GPA. I see you also applied to UNC-Chapel Hill, I did as well. I'm anxious about the whole process and counting down until early and mid-October for both WSSU and UNC. Good luck to you ?
