Writing for the professions ENG 201 RN to BSN

I need to take Writing for the professions course ENG 201. Would anyone happen to know any online courses offered elsewhere that would satisfy this requirement?

I'm doing ENGL312 with Brigham Young University. It is self-paced and costs $489. Caution: there are many papers to write. If you're focused and disciplined, it's not that bad. But if your straddling the fence with discipline, then this course will definitely take much longer than EC's course. The instructors are allowed two weeks to grade each paper and my instructor appears to be making great use of the time allowed.and the final exam has to be mailed out to be proctored. This had blown my plans for completion by an entire semester.....unless some miracle comes my way. I heard that there were other courses as well that are equivalent but I don't have any names. Your advisor should know.

Thanks for LYNDAA. I will stay away from Brigham as I am not fenced with discipline right now. So, my advisor at Excelsior would know where else I could take an equivalent course?

Yes, they should have a list of equivalent courses. At one point in BYU's course, I was beginning to think I should have just gone with EC's course because by the time I received grades for each completed assignment and took e final exam, I was only about 3 weeks shy of EC's completion time.

Although there was no discussion board to participate in, I dare say that I wrote more papers with BYU than what EC requires for ALL of their BSN courses combined, based on what I've seen in EC's BSN course syllabi...seriously! You are very wise to acknowledge your limitations and use that self-assessment as a guide to your choices. I wasn't aware of the particular demands of the course until after I had already spent too much time and effort into a few lessons. I estimate my actual completion of any a month and a half. The rest of the time was spent waiting for grades between assignments, once I realized that no matter how fast I submitted the assignments, it would be no less than 2 weeks before I heard back from ANY of them. That completely blew any plans of my making it to the July BSN course enrollment. I didn't even wait for the last two (MAJOR) writing assignments to be graded before requesting and taking the proctored final exam. I figured my instructor can just grade all of that at one time.

My unsolicited advice would be to look into the particular requirements/assignments before making your selection. All I did was look at the price. I should have known there was a catch. But I passed with an A and that part's behind me now....live and learn!

see attached for the list of classes they accept as of 5/13.
