Wrist tattoo; bad idea?

Published

Hi all. Second semester nursing student here. I'm a 19 year old male if it makes the slightest of a difference, which I'm sure it doesn't.

I'm looking at getting a small tattoo on my wrist, however I'd like your insight on whether or not I should decide against it. This is the tattoo I was looking at; http://imgur.com/FQPJTMA

I was thinking it's small enough to cover up with a bandage if I needed to. Again, if it'd be best for me to refrain from getting a visible tattoo, please let me know so I don't make a mistake here. Thanks in advance!

You don't want a tattoo you have to cover up with a bandage -- bandages get pretty nasty at work when you're washing your hands ever few minutes. You may not even be allowed to work with a bandage. Refraining from a visible tattoo is your best option. On the other hand, if you really want a wrist tattoo, get something you can cover up with a watch band. You're allowed to wear a watch at work, but probably not that string bracelet I saw in the picture.

Glad you decided against it. Nothing worse for a manager to have to cruise the halls looking for staff with piercings and tattoos showing like the town sheriff.
