WPH school of nursing or CCAC?

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

I've recently applied to West Penn's school of nursing for this coming August. I've given birth there twice and saw their cheif of mfm throughout my third pregnancy exclusively. I have a really positive view of the hospital and the people that work there (especially the nurses.) I'm just wondering if anyone has any insight on it from the nurse's pov? And I would especially love any feedback about their nursing school.

If I don't get in this fall, I'm going to apply for spring '10 admission to CCAC. I also would love opinions on CCAC, and in general the pros/cons of a diploma vs. ASN.

Well, the advisor didn't go into details but I was told from another student doing her pre-reqs that they might do away with the NET. The communication is NEVER the best at CCAC. I am quite angry about it. I saw a student a month ago in the hallway talking to someone from one of the offices saying..."I'm not really supposed to tell you this, but...." while taking him to his office so no one could hear what he was about to explain. And, somebody in my math class (Intermediate Algebra) already took the NET and I was told that I had to wait 'til after completeing this math course to take it. They can mess with who they want. That's why I see like 3-4 advisors for the same thing, while taking notes, if the advisor I like the best isn't there. Now, I am hearing that CCAC's no. 1 campus for nursing is South campus but, I always thought it was the North campus. I doubt if I want to continue on the Allegheny campus, even though it's closest to me.

I've heard that CCAC advisors aren't the best at communicating, but that doesn't make any sense about you not being able to take the NET. I took the NET before I took Math 90 and Intermediate Algebra. I took the NET in the summer, had math 90 in the fall, and intermediate algebra in the summer. I've also heard that South as well as Boyce were the best campuses to go to.

Yes, the girl in my math calss got a 59% on the NET but, at least she wasn't told that she had to wait after MAT 090. And, I had an A in MAT 080. I spoke to that other class mate of mine that has been wondering whether or not she wants to leave. She told me she's finally not going to consider CCAC. She's looking to get into UPMC St. Margaret's. Does it really take longer to get employment when you graduate from CCAC compared to the hospital programs with the tuition forgiveness?
