WOW!!! Wrong notification from Wayne State University.

Nursing Students School Programs

Wow!!! I just got an email from WSU and almost had a heart attack.

They were just reminding me that my application was complete. However, if I needed to get any more document into them...now was the time to do it, before June 1 2014, their deadline.

They also informed me that notifications were going out in the first part of June 2014, so make sure that you check your application status box.(as if I haven't been checking that everyday for over three month...now!!!!)

Now you see....I know that was just a genetic email letter...however, if they knew my application was complete why send out the teaser email letter.

Hey guys...am I over thinking here...or are you as anxious as I am?????

Today I received an email from a school, (one of my top picks) the subject line read "Congratulations!" I open the email to find they are inviting me to participate in the graduation ceremony for my other degree. Son of a...

I KNOW...RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have got to know we are sitting on pins and needles...waiting and waiting and waiting and....well you know.

I am glad you are with me on this...I thought it was just me.

I hope to hear from other people on this site on how they are dealing with this...acceptance WAIT!

Well...Wayne State University, they did it again. I just got notified that the deadline is nearing, June 1, 2014, and because that day falls on a Sunday...they just wanted to seen out a reminder!!!!!!!!

My heart dropped...and I thought...they need to stop doing this. If no one know what the deadline is by now...they don't need to be in a nursing school...right!?.

And then I came to my senses, and felt sorry for the people who are just finishing up their pre-reqs...and then I became respectful of the process...and appreciated their reminder.................but just for moment...............just kidding!!!

But I will add they did state this that, we would be notified in June, and an alternate list will be listed, if there were to be any openings.

Please cross your fingers for me!!!!!

Hahaha!!!! You felt sorry? Sorry shmorry, I freaking agree. Enough with the bull sh*% reminders! I can't imagine still waiting to hear back! My fingers (and eyeballs, and toes) are crossed! Make sure you let me know what they say!

I'm pretty anxious. I am wait listed with a classification of "highly likely to be admitted," and the other local nursing school is deciding next week (hello double-admits, rejecting acceptance, leaving me a spot!). Plus, it's a top ten nursing school, so I'm really nervous.

I know...right! Come on with it!!!!!!

OwlieO.O we are all behind you I hope you get that double acceptance.

And...what is the deal with this 'highly like crap' tell me if I am in or out...or is that your

assessment on your admission possibility?

The "acceptance wait" is horrible, and I completely understand the stupid little teases like that. Long story short, given my circumstances I pretty much only had one option for a BSN school, they wait listed me in December and I was so heartbroken. They just called me less than a week ago to offer me a seat for this fall because they had a few students fall through. All I can say is the wait WILL be over one day.

Hi SpssSpss and everyone,

I just got off the telephone with a WSU staff member, who informed me that everyone would be notified by mid June, late June, or even early July for their acceptance, wait list, or rejections, and all would be notified by emails. Because now, everything is now computerized, and they are doing everything to eliminate excess paper work and saving time.

Whattttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!! I heard three answers...and not for the price of one. I got no more information, than if, I had not called at all. And then the person said, don't worry we get lots of calls, and have no problems with answering all questions...so feel free to call us to inquire!!!!

I don't no about you ladies/guys...but in a medical field, that is suppose to be of high standards and inclusiveness, caring, honest, and supportive...these schools seem to love to give you the run around.

Now you know that they have been doing this process...for years...they have had deadlines and dates to go through the applications for every one of us. Yet, why is it...so difficult to be respectful of that process, that they themselves have put in place...Why can't they just honor a simple time frame of notification. Some reasonable appropriate time...like a date...within a day or two...where everyone don't have to frame their lives...around that long long excruciating...WAIT!

Why is it so important to these colleges to literally hold a nursing applicant...hostage (so to speak in time)...after they have met all of their requirements...made it through their rigorous competitive GPA pool, gave two years of pre-req...and then being treated like cattle, just sitting wait to be call.

OK....that was a little bit much....but what the........!!??

What is your opinion?...let's vent it now...which ever way...I am sticking to mine. (smile)

When is the programs start date?

When is the programs start date?

The program start date is Fall 2014 (August). However, there is a mandatory meeting

around July 12, 2014, for all your needed things...such as shots, ins, cloths ,books, etc...

which take time to prepare for...that is when you get in.
