Would like information about the NY Child Neglect/Abuse course/program?

As I was filling out the Nursing lincensing application for the State of New York, I have come accross a section that requires a course in Child Neglect and Abuse. I have a WI lincense and was not required to take a class. Does anyone know about this requirement? Any experience aquiring a NY license after being licensed elsewhere? All suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

you can take an online course for child neglect/abuse. just check BOn for the list of accredited providers. hope that helps.

Different states have different requirements! For example, In Florida, the state requires you to take an online course regarding to "Preventing medical errors."

I don't know if you are still in WI or NY; if you are already in New York, call 718-692-2121 Ext.#4!

You can take it online for something like $30. It's a module you go through and then take the test at your own pace. You can keep the module open to reference as you take the test. The process is very simple and painless - don't stress about it!
