Attention all cnas tell me the worst part about your jobs
condescending rns.. i work at a hospital.. and there is one rn that i dread working with.. at the start of the shift.. she rubbed me the wrong way... and her day sure was more difficult because i just didn't care to make myself as available to help her.. as a nursing assistant i'm already busy as is.. but i'm willing to help you or go out of my way to help you if you're nice to me.. but if you're not... i just can't be there to help you as much

I will never understand the way some nurses will act towards their CNAs. I was a CNA for 16 years...the first 5 in LTC & the last 10 in the hospital. I encountered condescending, bossy nurses in both settings. One time I had a nurse walk out of a pt room and tell me (while I was ambulating another pt in the hall) that so-in-so's urinal was full and to empty it. Really?? You were just in there! You couldn't take 2 seconds to empty it?
I am now an RN and I swore I would never ever treat a CNA the way I was treated at times. And I don't. I try to do all my own pt care and rarely ask for help...unless I really need it. And because I treat them with respect, the CNAs actually ask ME if there's anything they can do to help me. I truly believe in teamwork. It benefits everyone in the long run...especially those we are caring for. :)

Hey neighbor I've been looking to get to a hospital but they want at least 1 year experience this is my first CNA job but its ok now that I've got a reign on things. I'm truly looking forward to the day when I can get into the hospital though
