hello everyone i have a concern. i just recieved my net scores and i passed yea!!!!! But, the question next is this.... I recieved a DUI almost a year ago ( i know it's a poor way to deal with loseing a loved one). BUT i haven't drank since it was my first and only time I've ever drank and I won't repeat this mistake again, although the nurseing board probally doesn't know that. I was honest on my application and was wondering if this will exclude me from becomeing an LPN student?????

I believe only the board of nursing can answer your question

You're probally right. I'm could really kick my self in the rear for my mistake, I just wish I knew if i even havea chanceof being accepted. I scored in the 98th precntile on my net test. sorry i tend to stress over stuff just a little....I guess i'll just have to wait and see what the board says.

Well read your state's NPA and your BoN's regs to see if that's an automatic exclusion. And if not, and your board asks questions in these cases, remember that by having been 100% above-board with them from the start you have decisively gotten off on the right foot with them.

We can't provide legal advice. Best bet is to contact your BON. The links are in the upper right hand corner of this page.
