Hi I just wanted to ask to those of you who have had babies/children recently and gone back to work in the NHS do you find your colleagues more supportive or negative reactions towards you? As for me i have found my colleagues have been so nasty towards me sadly its the women who are the worst.
Anyone got any similar experiences.

I guess it depends on where you work and what your asking for.
I worked after having my baby I dropped my hours to 30 and paid for childcare. Although it was very stressful I didn't ask for any work life balance shifts and worked the duties I was allocated.
When I struggled I tried to swap, if I couldn't swap I begged family for extra help.
I still struggle through, but it gets easier as she gets older. I do get frustrated with colleagues who ask for the world to revolve around them and their child, my thoughts are they chose to have children, and work so it's not fair for those who don't ask for specific shifts to work around them.
I know that may not be a popular point of view but I do feel quite strongly about it.
I don't talk about my baby much in work, I'm there to look after my patients and I recognise not everyone adores children or wants to talk about them. If I'm asked then you can rarely shut me up, my baby is my whole world but I realise that my colleagues won't feel the same. :-P
I more or less have the same view as you. But i have noticed because i have a female manager who doesnt have children i feel she discriminates against me in subtle ways
Having read through your other posts, have you spoken to HR or your union yet
I have no proof
