Hello everyone, I took my NCLEX-PN exam this morning and it shut off at 85 questions (I know it's not a guarantee pass) I tried the PVT trick a couple minutes ago and got the "good pop up" as well, again I know this is not a sign of a definite pass so I'm still really looking forward to my results. Anyhow I have been a aide at my current job for about 8yrs and was considering applying for an LPN position there ( IF I passed) however, I'm kinda having mixed feelings about it. I feel like since I'm young and it's a small place and people are used to me working as an aide they might try to give me problems. Granted I don't have any problems with anyone there, but still. I'm kinda thinking I should just start somewhere else COMING IN as a Nurse, for a new beginning. What do you guys think? Has anyone been in this situation before. If so how was your experience? What did you decide to do? Thanks for reading. Hugs!
Your concerns are valid but in my experience those who have elevated in position from aid to nurse have done very well for themselves. I think it gave the nurses a sense of legitimacy if that makes sense.
