Working full-time and studying for NCLEX

Published

So I just got a job working as a nurse. YAY! I will take my NCLEX next month.

So when I come home from work, I do some questions. I'm glad I studied my butt off the past 2 weeks when I didn't have a job... because now, I don't have a lot of time to be studying. I've done almost 2,000 questions already. I can't do as many questions now though. On a few Kaplain question trainers, I've been getting 63-64%. On my Kaplan diagnostic test, so far I'm making a 75%.

I'm feeling pretty confident with NCLEX (not so much my job because I'm training at the moment). Have YOU worked full-time and studied for the NCLEX? I guess I just want to hear some good things about working full-time and studying for a board exam.

Specializes in Telemetry, OB, NICU.

Your scores seem high enough to pass NCLEX. Why don't you just take it soon?

When are you taking it?

Hi I'm working full time. Would you recommend to answer questions Everyday? I lost touch of the other topics in nursing coz I'm working in endoscopy. I'm planning to take the nclex on March. Please advise!

Try Uworld, do 1 set of 75 or 2 sets, after each set read the rationale. Make a schedule of the quiz/test that you'll take on UWorld. That's what I did.

Goodluck!

If you know that you're weak in the content so might as well read Saunder's.

Just make sure you budget your time wisely.
