Someone stated, and this is a paraphrase: that the ANA is more concerned about professional recognition instead of improving working conditions.
Is that a fair statement? What would you prefer?

In a way, it seems that one would bring the other. In other words, if we were better respected as professionals, it would be expected that we work under more professional conditions, rather than being looked upon and treated as the mules of the hospital.
I guess what I am saying is I think we deserve both and it's time we stopped settling for less.

I see them as going hand-in-hand. While they really are 2 different things, you can't have one without the other.
